The staff was so friendly from the start, we also had a quick moment from street musicians passing by which made the vibe even better right off the bat. The pasta was also very very good and the price was good as well compared to other places. We would 100% recommend it and we would go again

We went to Taormina for dinner, but almost everywhere was fully booked. We went to Taormina for dinner, but almost everywhere was fully booked. As we walked past this restaurant, we asked the staff if they had a table, and within a short time they kindly arranged one for us. We ended up having one of the best meals of our trip in Sicily. Right away, we decided to book a table for the next day, because this is exactly the kind of place you want to come back to whenever you feel like enjoying fresh fish and seafood. A big thank you to the waiters and all the staff, we had two absolutely perfect dinners here. The food, the wine, the beer, everything was beyond our expectations. Truly unforgettable!

Quando finalmente ci stavano per accompagnare al tavolo, un cliente in fila inizia a urlare accusando lo staff di favoritismi. Invece di gestire la situazione con professionalità, il cameriere conferma che eravamo arrivati insieme, ma un altro (Gianluca, estremamente maleducato) ci rimanda indietro davanti a tutto il locale, come se fossimo noi ad avere torto. Un’umiliazione pubblica, frutto esclusivamente della loro disorganizzazione. Dopo pochi minuti veniamo fatte sedere, ma l’imbarazzo e la rabbia restano. Il cibo? Abbastanza buono, nulla di memorabile, simile a tanti altri posti del centro di Taormina. Quello che rimane impresso è il caos totale, la mancanza di rispetto e la sensazione che alcuni clienti “favoriti” vengano fatti accomodare immediatamente, probabilmente senza neanche prenotazione. Dopo una gestione così vergognosa, un piccolo gesto di scuse ,fosse anche uno sconto simbolico ,sarebbe stato il minimo. Ma non è arrivato nulla. In conclusione: qualità del cibo discreta, qualità del servizio inesistente. Se cercate professionalità, rispetto e correttezza, questo non è il posto giusto

Wir haben sofort einen Tisch bekommen. Der Keller hat uns gut beraten, so dass wir einen leckeren fischen Fisch bekommen haben. Man sitzt gemütlich und trotzdem mittendrin. Die Keller er sind nett und zuvorkommend. Trotz Warteschlange auf einen Tisch, wurden wir nicht genötigt zu gehen. Gern wieder.

Taormina Rule #1; Stay off the Main Street…it’s over priced touristic mediocrity at best (and I’m over stating the quality and experience) but..now, wow, what a night! Giuseppe and Taverna Al Paladino has redeemed Taormina for us. On a lane (still bustling with atmosphere) off the awful Main Street, this delightful bistro serves up great meals at very reasonable prices by the most delightful staff…what more could we ask…after days (our fault) of woeful meals at outrageous prices on the Main Street we stumbled down Via Naumachia (a cracking scene) to this charming taverna…our dishes and winer recommendations were spot on, our budget considered and the team just underscored and memorable night out..and let’s face it: can’t ask much more for that..how much did I like it..ask Giuseppe to book the table for the next night…but aarrgghhhh closed on Mondays…thanks Giuseppe…made Taormina believers out of us again.

Sweet little spot in a side street. Price is affordable and worth the money. Food is what you would expect from an Italian restaurant. Full of flavours and nicely dressed. Bartenders are friendly and helpfull. See you tomorrow 🥰

È situato proprio vicino al famoso Da Rita, ma non paragonabile. Il cibo è buono come anche il rapporto qualità prezzo. Nota negativa è che i camerieri hanno fretta di sfilarti il piatto anche se l’altro commensale non ha terminato. Ovviamente per liberare il tavolo.

The owner, maitre d and staff are kind, welcoming and warm. We sat outside in the laneway - and ended up seeing all three local bands (included Antonio the opera singer perform - which we had seen for several nights straight) perform right in front of us which created a create vibe and atmosphere.
