During the three weeks we spent near Positano, we traveled to Minori many times for the quiet beach, and one of my greatest pleasures during siesta time was to visit Bar 52. The staff members--it's a family-run enterprise--were exceptionally friendly, even by Italian standards, and the atmosphere was outstanding. I loved the cave-like lounge, a welcome refuge from the heat of the afternoon sun. As I leave Italy, among the things I'll miss the most are those afternoon espressos in the cool comfort of "Cinquantadue."
