Literally stumbled (feet tripping) upon this place as we completed the Viadante from Bellano to Varenna. What a treasure! Far from the crowds with a beautiful vista- but beyond that was a beautiful meal with exceptional service. The local fish is their specialty. We had the spaghettoni with sturgeon and one of the prix fix three course options with the sample of local fish antipasti and gnocci. Delicious and unique. Above all, we were welcomed by our lovely server! She attended to us with detail and good cheer. We thank her for a memorable lunch!

This restaurant really impressed us with both its stunning views and excellent food. We ordered the gnocchi, and it was absolutely amazing – perfectly cooked, rich in flavour, and beautifully presented. The wine list is also fantastic, offering the perfect pairing to the meal, and the overall atmosphere makes the whole experience even more enjoyable. One of the highlights is the convenience of the little tuk-tuk shuttle that picks you up from Varenna train station and takes you straight to the restaurant, making the trip effortless and fun. All in all, it’s a place that combines great food, wonderful service, and breathtaking scenery – highly recommended.

We went for an afternoon walk and found this amazing restaurant nestled just off the beaten track close to town and our apartment. Service, food and environment exceptional. Flavours and food we hadn’t experienced before - tastebuds were given a great experience! Definitely worth a visit

Appena siamo arrivati e abbiamo assioggiaro i primi piatti, abbiamo capito perché al telefono ci hanno parlato in inglese. Qui i veri sapori del pesce di lago non li conoscono affatto. Mi spiace per tutti gli stranieri che pensano che il pesce di lago sia quello servito qui veramente mediocre. Personale comunque molto gentile. Ho chiuso gli occhi quando sono passata dalla cucina per andare in bagno. A volto meglio rimanere nella propria ignoranza

Absolutely adored this restaurant! An unequivocal gem in Varenna, off the beaten path and elevated amongst lively gardens and flowing white canopies. The Proprietors and staff were unbelievably accommodating and welcoming. When they knew we were coming off of a rented boat experience and didn't want us to have to walk the short distance up the road...

Absolutely adored this restaurant! An unequivocal gem in Varenna, off the beaten path and elevated amongst lively gardens and flowing white canopies. The Proprietors and staff were unbelievably accommodating and welcoming. When they knew we were coming off of a rented boat experience and didn't want us to have to walk the short distance up the road and a hill, they sent their little shuttle vehicle to retrieve us. The food and wine offerings were lovely, but it was the peaceful ambience in the midst of high season on Lake Como that stole the show.

Cibo discreto, costoso. Servizio pessimo. Ci hanno fatto aspettare 15 minuti per il servizio “shuttle” da loro proposto, visto che nostro figlio di 7 anni era addormentato.. e invece lo hanno poi utilizzato per trasportare la loro receptionist (che non parla italiano), lasciandoci la notte su una strada buia e pericolosa.

Repas pris en extérieur avec vue magnifique. Le service est au top, la générosité et la saveur des plats est parfaite. Nous nous sommes régalés du début à la fin. Le prosecco et le limoncello sont offerts. Ce restaurant coche toutes les cases pour passer un moment inoubliable dans ce cadre et cette ambiance agréable.

David nos recibió muy bien y la atención y consejos de Vittorio mejoró la experiencia. Tuvimos una cena divertida e interesante, en la que destacó la calidad del producto local, y la original presentación y elaboración de los platos. Conocíamos los productos ya que somos de mar y río, de Mediterráneo y Volga, y fue divertido comprobar cómo elaboran en esta casa sus propuestas. Sin duda no para todos los gustos, no es main stream, pero muy efectivo en el resultado. Una experiencia fantástica y un excelente colofón a nuestro aniversario de bodas recorriendo el lago Como. Menú del pescador, extra de ravioli de pescado, tiramisú casero y amaretto para terminar. Calidad precio ajustado, no es barato ni lo pretende, si expresión tiene un precio aunque tampoco es una locura conociendo lo que puedes encontrar en los alrededores. È stata una scoperta del tutto casuale, ma di quelle che ti fanno venire voglia di tornare e che consigli senza esitazioni. Il paesino in cui si trova il ristorante non offre molto in termini di parcheggio, ma il locale ha trovato una soluzione davvero originale e comoda: un servizio shuttle che ti accompagna a lasciare l’auto poco fuori, per poi riportarti al ristorante con una simpatica apecar attrezzata. Una volta arrivati, si apre davanti a te una vista mozzafiato, con eleganti tavolini sistemati sul prato che ti permettono di godere appieno del panorama senza eguali. La cucina è ottima, i prezzi sono medio-alti ma ampiamente giustificati da un servizio impeccabile, dalla cortesia e dall’accoglienza che si percepisce fin dal primo momento. Un valore aggiunto? L’esperienza sull’apecar, andata e ritorno, che regala scorci indimenticabili e un sorriso grazie alla cordialità del conducente. *Un’esperienza da non perdere!*

We came across this restaurant on a hike to the waterfall and gorge. We booked it because of the view and the free shuttle service pick-up. (It was too long a walk and climb at evening) It turned out to be one of two highlight restaurants of our 15 days in Italy! Mind you, we had already been to Florence, all over Tuscany, Lucca, and Cinque Terre before this! My friend LOVED her fresh caught trout and I had the delicious filet of beef w/pungent cheese. We started with a trout mousse w/thin sliced pear and finished by sharing the Chefs Apple strudel. All were excellent and the staff were super attentive and friendly throughout! Highly recommend!

Arriva il tagliere ma niente piattini per poter dividere il salume, pure la forchetta da antipasto che era stata tolta non è stata rimessa al tavolo. A parte il tiramisù, i gelati sembrano industriali. Prezzo alto.

Staff were very friendly and gave us a great table and a delicious welcome drink! We were there for lunch and the whole experience was relaxing and we could enjoy nice food with a fantastic view. It is worth the quick walk up the hill to avoid the crowded and uber touristy places downtown.

Io e la mia ragazza volevamo provare un buon ristorante vista lago con una buona cucina di pesce, e questo posto ha rispettato tutte le nostre aspettative. Si vede il sole tramontare sul lago, il personale molto gentile e il mio risotto e lo storione erano davvero molto buoni. Tra le altre cose offrono il servizio di trasporto che vi accompagna dalla stazione di Varenna fino al ristorante con un'apecar. Consiglio vivamente e ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
