Abbiamo trascorso una splendida giornata al Lido La Caravella. La location è davvero suggestiva: lettini direttamente in riva al mare, con ciottolini al posto della sabbia, che rendono l’acqua ancora più limpida e piacevole per il bagno. Il lido è molto curato e pulito, ben attrezzato e con tutti i comfort necessari. Un grande plus è la possibilità di pranzare comodamente nella zona dei lettini: servizio rapido, piatti buoni e ben presentati. Molto utile anche lo shuttle, che ci ha riportati in centro in maniera puntuale e comoda. Tutto il personale si è dimostrato gentile e disponibile, contribuendo a rendere l’esperienza ancora più piacevole. I prezzi sono giusti per la qualità del servizio offerto. Sicuramente un lido che consiglio e in cui tornerei volentieri!

Well worth the trip here. Beach is not crowded compared to Isola Bella Beach. Staff is very accommodating with good food and drinks. Buy water shoes from vendor.

Il mare a Taormina senza la confusione di Taormina ad agosto. Relax salsedine e un ottimo pranzo nel ristorante del lido con pesce fresco annaffiato da buon vino e dalla gentilezza dei ragazzi che ci lavorano. Consigliato!

Excellent private beach club. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend! The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, and great hosts. We spent over a week in Taormina and visited the club for two days with our kids. Excellent private beach club. Enjoyed immensely and highly recommend! The owner and staff are warm, welcoming, friendly, and great hosts. We spent over a week in Taormina and visited the club for two days with our kids. The first time the owner kindly waived our fee as we only arrived late afternoon before close, the second visit cost 25 Euro per person, during peak season (mid July) in the height of summer without a booking, which was fine and market given the timing and circumstance. This included umbrella/deck chairs/towels. We spent most of a day hanging out and enjoyed lunch and numerous drinks too. Special shoutout to the life guard in the red outfit, who was very kind and great, attentive service too. We enjoyed this club in Spisone, much more than that around isola bella as more quiet and calm. Highly recommend and see you next time!

Caravella was recommended to us by our hotel (Villa Carlotta) and we spent a lovely day here. The team were so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Caravella was recommended to us by our hotel (Villa Carlotta) and we spent a lovely day here. The team were so warm and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. At lunch our waiter very kindly explained some of the specials and recommended some Sicilian specialties. All four of us chose something different and it was all delicious. The fish and seafood was amazing. The excellent table service on the loungers was fantastic on a very hot day. And getting to and from the beach club in the complementary shuttle made it so easy. All the owner asked was we give him half an hours notice when we knew what time we wanted to leave. We only had 4 days in Taormina and this was our final day otherwise we would have definitely returned.

I stayed in Taormina for 9 days and had lunch almost every day at Caravella restaurant. The food was absolutely amazing and Julio, Phillipo, and the rest of the staff provided unparalleled service.

Location decisamente molto bella e suggestiva. Anche se spiaggia molto piccola, con ombrelloni attaccati l'uno all'altro. Peccato però il lido: prezzi decisamente molto alti (ma forse per l'affitto di ombrelloni e lettini, è tutta la zona molto cara) ma, pagare 18 euro un insalata con 1 uovo, tonno (forse un scatola) pomodoro, cipolla, avocado, car...

Peccato però il lido: prezzi decisamente molto alti (ma forse per l'affitto di ombrelloni e lettini, è tutta la zona molto cara) ma, pagare 18 euro un insalata con 1 uovo, tonno (forse un scatola) pomodoro, cipolla, avocado, carote e insalata verde, mi sembra un po' eccessivo. Aggiungendo 3,50€ per il coperto.. e abbiamo mangiati seduti sulle sdraio in spiaggia. Pane e grissini centillinati (1 grissino a testa e 2 fette di pane a testa). Per fare aperitivo abbiamo preso un Hugo e un Aperol spritz alla bellezza di 12,50 l'uno. Totale della giornata 118 euro per due... Va bene che siamo a Taormina, ma mi sembra un po' eccessivo il conto. Sinceramente... Avessi saputo tutto ciò, avrei optato per un altro posto. Nota positiva: bagni puliti e personale delle spiaggia gentili.

A quiet and relaxed beach setting for food and a view of the sea. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The fresh fish is delicious, we’ve eaten here more than once and haven’t been disappointed. I’d highly recommend a trip for the day or just lunch.

A great escape from Taormina to the beach. Really friendly and accommodating. We used the beds, hired towels, ate lunch and took a little refreshment at the sunbeds. Don't do what I did - be sure to buy the beach shoes! The beach is stony and the gravel sharp...but the water beautiful. Dominic has a great lido, though you do pay. They do a free pic...

We loved it here. Food was all delicious - no pizzas but really good pasta, calamari, grilled vegetables and salad. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We loved it here. Food was all delicious - no pizzas but really good pasta, calamari, grilled vegetables and salad. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. We would come back and would recommend it. It was 40 euros for two sunbeds / parasol but the quiet beautiful setting, great service and convenient facilities made it worth it. the beach is much more peaceful than Mazzaro. It's not white sand, more a mix of sandy and pebbles, but the kids really enjoyed playing and making mounds etc. The Interbus stop coming from Taormina is slightly further down and you have to walk back a few mins along the main road, however the return stop going towards Taormina is just across the road. The bus timings were a bit random.

We really enjoyed visiting La Caravella while on holiday in Taormina. Our hotel recommended it to us and arranged for their shuttle to come and collect us. We really enjoyed visiting La Caravella while on holiday in Taormina. Our hotel recommended it to us and arranged for their shuttle to come and collect us. This was great as we later found out that taxis to go down the hill from La Taormina are extremely expensive. We were very warmly greeted and offered a pick of sun loungers. This excellent service continued all day, with the waiters and beach boys quick to offer any help or service you required. The beach is stony with small pebbles so bring water shoes or flip flops. This place is clean and well maintained but does not have the glossy chic ( or cost!) of some fancy beach bars which are perhaps for younger people more interested in a party vibe, but the service and atmosphere were exactly what we were looking for. A great team of people supervised by a hands-on, friendly proprietor. The highlight of the day was the food. Julio recommended the daily specials on both of our visits, and both were outstanding. They have a very talented chef for sure. I have never tasted tuna steak so moist and flavoursome. The pasta with fresh anchovies prepared Sicilian style was also delicious. There are also much plainer offerings on the menu. The shuttle bus returned us to our hotel at the end of the day. Thoroughly enjoyable day and I highly recommend.
