Il Duca in Trastevere

We loved this restaurant so much we came back again the next night! It was by far our favourite place we ate at in all of Italy. I really do think it should be more highly rated because we were so impressed by the food, the ambience, the service, everything We had the best spaghetti carbonara we’ve ever had EVER - we still talk about it a few weeks...

I really do think it should be more highly rated because we were so impressed by the food, the ambience, the service, everything We had the best spaghetti carbonara we’ve ever had EVER - we still talk about it a few weeks later. Everything we ordered was delicious. The artichoke, truffle ravioli, and bruschetta were highlights. The service was wonderful - our waitress was so lovely and friendly, even though we spoke barely any Italian and she barely any English, her warmth and joy was so infectious we couldn’t stop laughing and smiling for the whole meal. We felt so welcomed! Highly highly recommend to anyone visiting the Trastevere neighbourhood. We have vowed to always come back and eat at Il Duca, whenever we return to Rome, no matter how many times that may be! Grazie Mille ❤️💚🤍

They have traditional Roman food: several artichoke dishes, homemade pasta, great sides of interesting greens such as chicory , spinach and puntarella. They also have dishes made with Offal. I had a delicious soup with beans, pasta and pork We also loved the chicken with roasted potatoes and the best tiramisu!

The restaurant is very old world charming with some quirky personal touches in the decor. All the staff were very friendly and. The menu has classic Roman dishes including a section of offal which I plan to try soon. They have several artichoke preparations on offer as well as home style dishes like chicken with roasted potatoes which were perfect...

They have several artichoke preparations on offer as well as home style dishes like chicken with roasted potatoes which were perfection! We also tried the chicory with lemon and the homemade ravioli with spinach. For dessert we had tiramisu which was the best I have ever tasted. The flavors were so well balanced and light.

We had an excellent time in Il Duca. The service was great and we even had a smile and a laugh together. We were two people that had homemade pasta. It was ragu and ravioli with spinach. Both dishes were very nice. We shared a starter with prosciutto, arugula and buratta - very recommendable. The white wine was also great considering the low prices...

I am a very tough critic of ragu pasta but this was the best we have had in Italy, very rich and delicious. The carbonara was also excellent. Food is reasonably priced & the service is great. Highly recommend!

This place is very nice to have a meal or dinner in the beautiful area of Trastevere. The quality of food and drinks was very good. The service of Mr. Diego was perfect. The atmosphere is something different from other places in wonderful Rome! I suggest this restaurant absolutely.

Abbiamo cenato con amici internazionali e Diego è stato veramente incredibile nel consigliarci e soddisfarci. Il cibo è squisito e tipicamente romano. Tutto il personale è molto professionale. Abbiamo anche scoperto una bevanda nuova il Kinodo!! Consiglio vivamente di prenotare.

Awesome evening at Il Duca, thznks to the great service of Diego. He is a rock star! Food is awesome. Were brought to this place by a dentist friend who knows the chef and. Probably the most authentic Roman restaurant in Travestere. Asbolute must go.

Terceira vez nesse restaurante, disputado e justamente bem frequentado, no coração de Trastevere. Recomendo muito pra quem vai a Roma.

Cibo eccellente, servizio perfetto, il Signor Diego il numero Uno..simpatico, accogliente, empatico, cortesissimo, ci ha suggerito dei piatti eccezionali, abbiamo cenato in un ambiente accogliente, familiare. Complimenti. Assolutamente una tappa obbligatoria quando torneremo a Roma.

Ottima cena, con Vera cucina romana. Servizio veloce, gentile e professionale. Attenzione ai clienti della mètre di sala, presente senza mai essere invadente. Ci tornerò sicuramente. Bravi!

Sabato sera cercavamo un ristorante nel cuore di Trastevere tipico con cucina Romana quindi ci è stato pure suggerito da locali limitrofi , il locale è nelle vie centrali di Trastevere e si presenta anche bene, anche se l esterno è carino l interno pure pure veniamo messi in un posto da due un po' stretto troppo vicino ad altre persone , chiediamo...

Sabato sera cercavamo un ristorante nel cuore di Trastevere tipico con cucina Romana quindi ci è stato pure suggerito da locali limitrofi , il locale è nelle vie centrali di Trastevere e si presenta anche bene, anche se l esterno è carino l interno pure pure veniamo messi in un posto da due un po' stretto troppo vicino ad altre persone , chiediamo un prosecco freddo e ci viene portata.una bottiglia ma il prosecco è caldo, fatto notare al cameriere che avvisa la proprieta però non succede nulla, bah... Ci portano due primi di cucina Romana normali , un carciofo alla giudia secchissimo poi ordiniamo un abbacchio con patate al forno da dividere, arriva l abbacchio, un acconto forse... E le patate dopo mezz'ora e un nostro sollecito un po' stranito visto che volevamo mangiarle con L' abbacchio, arrivano con enorme ritardo e crude, ogni tanto il cameriere arriva dicendo "tutto bene" .. a me sembrava una presa in giro, ma come ti ho detto che il prosecco è caldo , le patate crude !!!! Il conto 80 euro ...nonostante mi fossi lamentato del servizio pessimo. Vabbè il classico ristorante per turisti da spennare , da evitare
