Albergo molto bello con una vista mozzafiato su matera. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. La cemera bella e pulita, non aveva tanta vista ma perché abbiamo scelto quella più economica. Ci siamo trovati molto bene! Colazione super

A Perfect Stay in Matera The hotel is perfectly situated right at the start of the tourist route that circles the city, with a parking garage just 100 meters away—making it ideal for exploring the Sassi. The room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful and incredibly spacious. It remained pleasantly cool even in 30+ degree weather—we didn’t even need to use the air conditioning. All of the staff were courteous, helpful, and genuinely friendly. The view of the Sassi from the terrace is likely one of the best in all of Matera. One of our favorite evenings was simply sitting out on the terrace with a glass of wine and some snacks, soaking in the stunning view after a long, hot day of exploring. Breakfast was very nice—simple but typical of many Italian hotels. The staff were happy to make a delicious coffee of your choice. If we ever return to this amazing city, we will definitely stay here again.

Is not cheap, but a good value for the money. Views are nice. Breakfast looking at the city is priceless. The people treated us very well. You feel at home. A place to come back! Air conditioner is super cold with no chance to control temperature! Or ON or OFF.

location perfetta, parcheggio coperto (a pagamento) a poche decine di metri dall hotel, vista spettacolare, camere in grotta (superior e junior suite) di gran charme (esperienza plus per Matera viste le origini) Nella junior bottiglia di Aglianico e mini bar in gradito omaggio. Personale cordiale, affabile ed attento. la vista dalla terrazza e la possibilità di farci la colazione o ammirare il panorama notturno è un plus raro nella città e vale da solo il massimo punteggio. Camere spaziose e pulite, presenti candele che danno una magica atmosfera, assieme alla interessante distribuzione del punti luce. Suggerisco di migliorare la dotazione con gli accappatoi. Attenzione che pernottare in grotta presenta delle temperature non proprio tropicali…. suggerisco l uso moderato della climatizzazione. Colazione adeguata, anche se apparentemente limitata in termini quantitativi, niente comunque che possa inficiare il servizio. Se ci fosse stato qualche prodotto tipico in più sarebbe stato perfetto. Albergo approvato sotto tutti gli aspetti, pernottatevi e non ve ne pentirete!

Great location, loved the balcony, it’s the best place for a spritzer and breakfast with an amazing view. We loved walking everywhere and they are so helpful for any information and bookings needed.

Apartments very clean and good size only minor comment the bed frames where quiet old - but maybe intended as part of the charm in one of the apartments we had. Gorgeous place we loved our 1 night here, wish we had done 2 nights The reception organised a tour in a tuk tuk for us, which was brilliant highly recommend that. Breakfast was lovely staff great All in all 5 star stay for us

A friend had recommended this property which we ultimately selected over some of our travel agent's suggestions based on value. Il Belvedere did not disappoint. A friend had recommended this property which we ultimately selected over some of our travel agent's suggestions based on value. Il Belvedere did not disappoint. Our room (not a cave room) was spacious and had a wooden ceiling. The staff is extremely friendly and the location is convenient for exploring the Sassi on foot. You will never tire of the amazing view from the terrace. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast there each morning, afternoon aperitifs, and nighttime views of the centro storico lit up.

Abbiamo trascorso una notte in questa struttura nel cuore del sasso Caveoso. La nostra stanza era una “stanza grotta”, ricavata da un’antica abitazione delle persone del luogo. Pulizia eccellente, ambienti ampi, personale disponibile e gentile. Posizione ideale per una visita della (meravigliosa) città.

Abbiamo trascorso una notte in questa struttura nel cuore del sasso Caveoso. La nostra stanza era una “stanza grotta”, ricavata da un’antica abitazione delle persone del luogo. Pulizia eccellente, ambienti ampi, personale disponibile e gentile. Posizione ideale per una visita della (meravigliosa) città.

Ok where to start!? We had just spent the last 8 days touring Puglia in a heat wave, we had purposefully left Matera to the end as we hoped it would be the highlight. We called ahead to check on the parking situation and Simon was unbelievably helpful. He advised us to drive straight to the hotel doors, drop luggage and then he advised is where t...

Ok where to start!? We had just spent the last 8 days touring Puglia in a heat wave, we had purposefully left Matera to the end as we hoped it would be the highlight. We called ahead to check on the parking situation and Simon was unbelievably helpful. He advised us to drive straight to the hotel doors, drop luggage and then he advised is where to leave the car close by for 2 days (for free). On arrival Simon gave us a tour, straight out to the first view of Matera for us from the terrace. Oh my goodness, no words! Then down to our room in a cave (47, the junior suite) another oh my word absolutely gorgeous, tasteful, great lighting and scented candles. Our two night stay was simply perfect, excellent location, lovely breakfast on the terrace and very friendly staff. Simons intro stood out as exceptional, thank you

여기 너무 좋음..동굴방에 묵었는데 의외로 환기도 나쁘지않고 냄새도 없었슴.직원들은 엄청엄청 친절하고, 부킹닷컴통해 예약했는데, 문의사항도 바로바로 응답옴.주차장은 안내받은대로 가면 되는데,매우 편리하고 호텔까지 오는길이 무난한 돌길이라 캐리어끌고오는데도 힘든거없슴.조식은 사진상으로는 단촐해보이지만 있을거다있고, 다 맛있고 정성이 담겨있슴. 마테라중심과 그리 멀지도않고.. 다시와도 무조건 여기올듯

Staff were all very welcoming and friendly and helped with recommendations for restaurants, which were excellent (especially Soul Kitchen). Free parking was available nearby. Delicious continental breakfast each morning with lots of options. We will definitely be back.
