In over 70 years of activity, 'Vivai Cooperativi Rauscedo' has become the world's largest nursery-vineyard company, with 60 million rooted grafts sold annually, 43% of which are exported to 28 countries. VCR products have always stood out from others for their higher morphological, genetic and sanitary levels, which explains the excellent results achieved both in Italy and abroad. Since 1960, Vivai cooperativi Rauscedo has been committed to the genetic improvement of vines, through clonal selection, and in 1969 the first 52 clones were approved, including the famous Chardonnay R8, Cabernet Sauvignon R5, Merlot R3 and R12, etc. After that began the approval and circulation of the new series of "VCR" clones, characterised by a much higher oenological potential than the average variety and by a higher sanitary profile.
