Facing the Pantheon on the right, on the Crescenzi hill, this little restaurant has had its home since 1961. Claudio, in the kitchen and Fabrizio in the dining room, Armando's sons, they offer a menu that includes typical Roman dishes, from the "quintoquarto" (tripe, cow's tail and others). There are some really gems such as duck with prunes and guinea fowl with procini mushrooms and black beer, derived from "apiciana" cuisine from over two thousand years ago. Bruschette, amongst which we mention those with colonnata lard and walnuts, herring with beans and balsamic vinegar, spelt soup, orzo soup, lentils with truffles, bucatini pasta all'amatriciana, grilled mutton, Roman artichokes, are unified in a harmonious and delicate way with the Claudio's creative dishes and a varied vegetarian menu. Some of our specialties include: spelt dumplings in truffle or gorgonzola sauce, spaghetti with "Greens", alla "Claudio" (with mushrooms and saffron) and others... For dessert, all excellent and all home made, there is the "mythical" Old Rome cake. The wine list, selected by Fabrizio, is extensive and includes many local selections. Service in the dining rooms is alternatively provided by Fabiana, Chiara Maria and Andrea, attentive and welcoming, they are always ready to serve you.
